Oracle Integration Cloud Service OIC provides several design and modeling options to receive and process files to support wide variety of use cases and scenarios. The goal of this blog is to highlight key design options based on your file size, content format and delivery outbound.
It also highlights common Fusion Applications file-based integration patterns including key orchestration steps in OIC. There are several integration patterns in Oracle Fusion Applications that are file-based. For example:. The file could be generated by on-premise system or other cloud applications and uploaded it to sFTP server for OIC consumption.
An integration flow in OIC will consume the file and optionally process it with actions such as enrichment and transformation to generate a data file of respective Fusion Applications object. The UCM server resides in Fusion Applications where extracted files are delivered and stored for downstream processing. Table 1 - File Sizes Supported by Interfaces based on decompressed file. Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) - File-based Integration Best Practices
Invoke OIC integration flow from on-premise or other cloud systems.Fusion HCM Cloud provides a comprehensive set of tools, templates, and pre-packaged integration to cover various scenarios using modern and efficient technologies.
This archived raw XML data can be converted into a desired format and delivered to supported channels recipients. HCM cloud implements Oracle WebCenter Content, a component of Fusion Middleware, to store and secure data files for both inbound and outbound bulk integration patterns. It protects against inadvertent access to unsecured files at every step in the end-to-end transfer of files.
It is easy to use, especially for non technical staff, so you can leverage more resources to manage the transfer of files. The built in extensive reporting capabilities allow you to get quick status of a file transfer and resubmit it as required. The in-coming requests are non-blocking. Each request is passed off to an asynchronous callback handler. This frees up the main thread to respond to more requests. It features design, deployment, and monitoring of file transfers using a lightweight web-based design-time console that includes file encryption, scheduling, and embedded FTP and sFTP servers.Jvc tv troubleshooting no picture
Oracle MFT provides built-in compression, decompression, encryption and decryption actions for transfer pre-processing and post-processing. You can create new pre-processing and post-processing actions, which are called callouts.
The callouts can be associated with either the source or the target. The sequence of processing action execution during a transfer is as follows:. Source pre-processing is triggered right after a file has been received and has identified a matching Transfer. Target pre-processing is triggered just before the file is delivered to the Target by the Transfer. This is the best place to send files to external locations and protocols not supported in MFT.
Post-processing occurs after the file is delivered. The extracted file could be delivered to the WebCenter Content server. HCM Extract has an ability to generate an encrypted output file. In Extract delivery options ensure the following options are correctly configured:.
The content in WebCenter Content is secured through users, roles, privileges and accounts. The accounts are predefined by each application. The client must satisfy the message protection policy to ensure that the payload is encrypted or sent over the SSL transport layer.Register and Participate in Oracle's online communities. When a document is checked in and if it meets some criteria then upload the document to a FTP server.
You could achieve this using a custom component, although that is not trivial. A starting point can be found here:. Before you starting developing a custom component, I would consider your business use case and if this is actually necessary to achieve it. Just wondering if there is any customization possible with FileStore Provider to introduce a storage rule other than Database and FileSystem.
Has anyone tried something similar. Yes, a consultant in Belgium has developed a provider with EMC Centera an "intelligent" file system exposing some of its special features. Basically, you need to know how to communicate with the device, folder, etc.Stata ln or log

Go to original post. The file to upload can be either encrypted or unencrypted. This section provides a high-level overview for performing this scenario.
Security Group : Select the security group to which the file to upload belongs. A security group is a set of files grouped under a unique name. Every file in the UCM server repository belongs to a security group. Access to security groups is controlled by permissions assigned to roles on the content server.Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC/ICS) - FTP Inbound To Outbound
Roles are assigned to users where they are maintained on Oracle Fusion Applications. Doc Account : Select the doc account for the file to upload. In Fusion Applications, every content item has an account assigned to it. Access to the document is the intersection between account permissions and security group permissions. You can also override the security group and doc account that you previously set by hard coding new values in the mapper that receive reference during runtime. If file upload is successful, a document ID is returned.
Enable this option to use the report bursting definition for output and delivery. Once selected, all other fields on this page are disabled for selection. This option is only available when bursting is enabled for the report. For more information on report bursting, see: Creating a Bursting Job.
Enable this option to make this job output available to all users with permission to access this report. Users with access can view the report from the Report Job History page. Enable this option to save the XML data that is generated for this job. Access the saved data from the Report Job History page see: Viewing Report Job History and Saved Output where you can republish it, selecting a new layout and output options. Thanks Siva. Messages: 1, Likes Received: Trophy Points: 1, However what you are looking for is mass conversion of content from documentum to UCM. I am not aware of an out of the box converter. However there is the batch uploader utility. For that you have to first generate the batch script file.
Read more in documentation about how to use the batch uploader. SadikDec 20, Messages: Likes Received: 18 Trophy Points: You can also use Desktop Integration Suite. In 11g, you can specify that you want to require metadata to be added to new checkins to a folder, which will help you to set up the common metadata for all of the files.Kitchenaid mixer gears stripped
You could write a component that monitors a directory and automatically checks in the files to your server. Messages: 23 Likes Received: 3 Trophy Points: Both of the suggestions are correct, even with the FTP function all you are doing is moving documents to a staging area so you can build your batch file. The quickest way to get the documents into the system would be to through a programmatic check-in process which is not very difficult and there is a ton of supporting documentation.
The other option would to use a federation tool that would allow you to assume ownership over the data-files. This is new to 10g 11g. This is considered a "manage in place" methodology. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask Jason M Longoria. Dis is really for the contribution folders. The worst part is you would have to use a manual process for validation. So depending on the requirements you have a few things to look into.
I'm pretty sure that 11g fixes the problems with copying lots of documents, but you are right that this is a problem in older versions. The new 11g metadata prompts feature helps with entering metadata for a large group of documents, but if you have to generate different metadata for each document other than obvious things like the content ID and titleyou'd need to create a custom uploader or metadata updater. Could you tell me a little more about what you mean by "The worst part is you would have to use a manual process for validation"?
Are you talking about verifying that what you copied to the server actually made it, or something else?
You are correct Im talking about validating that the documents actual made it into the system and well you can find them as well. I would agree that the first option of programmatic check-in with a custom validation loop in your code.
Basically I have seen a few different ways to do this. If you would like more info let me know and Ill post a couple of different ways to validate.
I would be interested in the validation methods. Thats really good to know, as I am going to start another thread on the V-Lookup using the dis client, there are so many issue with they way its been implemented, and they are not taking NO for an answer.
Please respond! Ill post some of the validations that I have used this afternoon, they are not super complex, but very thorough! Ill post when I get outta my meeting. Thanks Jason M Longoria. This topic does not apply to Oracle Cloud at Customer. Each account has a first name, a last name, an email address, and a user name automatically generated by Oracle Cloud.
You use the Identity Domain SFTP user account only to retrieve the data that Oracle automatically archives when you terminate a paid subscription to an Oracle Cloud service. For every instance of a service activated in the identity domain, Oracle Cloud creates an SFTP account for the service.
In addition, note the SFTP host name and port number. If the list of SFTP user accounts spans multiple pages, then use the Next and Previous buttons to navigate across pages.
To activate the SFTP user accounts, an identity domain administrator must configure the password whenever a new identity domain is established or a new service instance is activated. Only identity domain administrators can configure the password for the SFTP user accounts, and only for the SFTP user accounts in their designated identity domains.
When you configure the password for SFTP user accounts, the password is set. Sign in to Infrastructure Classic Console if you want to access Oracle Cloud infrastructure and platform services. If you see Infrastructure Classic at the top of the page when you sign in to Oracle Cloud, then you are using Infrastructure Classic Console and your subscription does not support access to the Infrastructure Console. Make a note of the password that you assign to this SFTP user account.
You must communicate this password to any administrator who will be using the account. Be sure to give the new password, along with the other SFTP sign-in information host, port number, and user nameto the appropriate administrators.
